About Rachel

Rachel believes you're not bad with money, you’ve just never been taught the right way to make your money work for you.

Hi, I’m Rachel

From the time Rachel Covert was a little girl, she loved dressing up. It was her terrible choice to go into fashion that led her to the joy of teaching financial literacy today.

After getting her first job in fashion in June of 2007, she quickly realized 2 things: 1) fashion sucks and 2) the economy was literally crumbling around her. With student debt and increasing levels of stress about her choice to work in fashion, Rachel decided the thing to do was work harder and rise in the ranks of fashion to increase her income. At the end of her 15 year fashion career, Rachel was the VP of a nine figure fashion business.

The diagnosis

Despite literally achieving her dream running a team, choosing fabrics, colors and prints, flying to Asia in business class, and being an all around #bossgirl, Rachel was unhappy.

At 29, Rachel was diagnosed with Rheumatoid arthritis, an inflammatory joint condition that worsens with age. She realized that she was working her ass off to climb the ladder, but by 65, Rachel might not be able to physically climb a ladder because of her health.

She learned about the Financial Independence/Retire (or Relax) Early Movement aka FIRE and decided that early retirement was the only solution.

At 36, Rachel walked away from her fashion career, semi-retired with hundreds of thousands in investments, ready to travel and relax.

During her travels, Rachel discovered that most women lacked financial literacy - to the point that many of them didn’t even realize they should know how to manage money.

Rachel started coaching women in financial literacy and soon launched her signature program Electri FI Wealth, helping 6 figure earners get in the driver's seat with their money so they can ditch the financial stress once and for all.
